Alien Breed was the title that gave notoriety to Team 17 and which also earned him an overall overestimation of the following titles published for the Amiga, especially the terrible Body Blows. To convince all was the introduction of three-dimensional kinematics (in ray tracing? I would not write something stupid), now obvious even in smaller stocks, but then the preserve of a few products and most importantly, the fact that it was the first video game to capture effectively the labyrinthine and claustrophobic atmosphere of the various Aliens, bringing into play the sense of siege that there was in the film. Basically it was a shooter as the crow flies like Gauntlet very difficult, where you had to explore a ship adrift in space and massacre a little 'alien DNA overdeveloped. In the years that followed came out other games in the series, which soon veered in FPS, trying to follow the fashion dictated by technological id with his Doom. Unfortunately, poor sales, mainly due to the comatose besetting the Amiga market, they die Alien Breed, without appannarne the memory (well, maybe the memories were too sweetened by the passage of time). Actually Alien Breed: Impact Alien Breed Evolution follows out on Live! just before Christmas. The game is the same, with the PC/PS3 versions that have been equipped with some more features and some adjustment to the minimum gameplay (as well as the exchange of subtitle). Someone rightly also noted the similarity of the game with Alien Swarm, a mod for UT 2004 but in turn was inspired by the saga of Team 17 (so, no plots, sorry). That said, let's see if the alien threat is still that of a time, or if the Martians have definitely softened.

The setting is always the same, or a ship adrift in space. This time, however, there are also survivors. The plot is not there the story because I do not need. And it's just that you're imagining ... spaceship, aliens, soldiers armed to the teeth ... of which can never tell Impact in your opinion? Fortunately, the comics are the connection between narrative levels can be skipped, so one avoids it.

installation:

Note: my avira tells me the file Steamclient.dll as dangerous. Do not know or remove the file / folder from the antivirus control.
