| Fortix 2 is a reverse tower defense game from Nemesys Games, in which you capture territory by bridging out from the outer border you start on. If any projectiles hit you or your line, you lose one of five starting lives. As you progress new mechanics are added steadily, and the pace quickly picks up with enemies that can detect when you leave the safe line, and projectiles that fire at you constantly, on or off the safe line. Different territories slow down your movement speed also, so there is a point to all that pretty background art. Later in the game there are dragons that track you when you leave the line, items that prevent you from capturing large areas, and lots of other mechanics that switch things up. |
